Make a difference

Large group of children and adults posing together in an outdoor setting wearing matching blue t-shirts, some with hats and lanyards, in front of a pavilion.

Why give?

Childhood should be filled with laughter, adventure and carefree memories. But for kids battling cancer, these simple joys are often taken by hospital rooms and medical procedures. That was my experience when I was a three year old diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

That’s where the Kids Cancer Alliance (KCA) steps in - and where you can make a difference too!

Camp KCA has been providing life-changing experiences for children with cancer and their siblings since 1981. When I turned five camp KCA gave me my childhood back by giving me the opportunity to have the experiences cancer had previously taken. There's just something magical that happens at camp, where medical worries fade away and we rediscover the joy of just being a kid. I've witnessed this magic firsthand -attending for 15 years beginning as a young camper and now as a counselor. The bonds formed here are unbreakable, creating a support system that extends far beyond the campgrounds.

This summer, we're preparing to welcome around 200 attendees, serving campers and staff during two separate 1 week sessions starting June 8th and July 13th.

We need your help to stock our camp with essential supplies before June 1st. Below you will find ways to directly impact our campers' experience this summer. From craft supplies that spark creativity to outdoor equipment that makes adventures possible, every item makes a difference.

The clinic staff, returning volunteers, and fellow campers have become my second family over the past 15 years. Now, I have the privilege of helping new patients experience the same joy and freedom I found at Camp KCA. It's a place where pediatric patients can simply be kids, regardless of their medical path. Thank you for supporting me in this cause!
